The Akrapovic Racing and Evolution exhaust systems are designed for all those who just want to squeeze that
little bit more out of their Super Duke. The complete system delivers much more power to the back wheel and saves a lot of weight, improving handling to say nothing of the sharp appearance. The new design of the muffler for the Akrapovic Racing and Evolution systems fits exceptionally well with the aggressive naked bike look. The exhaust is configured as a 2-1-2 system with two conical header tubes leading into a Y collector, then into a cylindrical Y link pipe and finally onto the two mufflers. The difference between the Racing and the Evolution muffler is in the materials used. The Racing system uses high quality stainless steel, while the Evolution uses a special type of titanium. The performance characteristics of the two systems are identical. The individual components are connected with sleeve joints secured with silicon-shielded springs. The muffler tubes include fittings for attaching lambda sensors. For the KTM Super Duke we fitted the new design
Akrapovic mufflers, which are attached to the frame using Akrapovic carbon-fiber clamps. The muffler outer sleeves are titanium, as are the perforated inner tube, inlet cap and outlet tube. The outlet tube is formed using the hydro-forming process accurate to the last millimeter. The outlet cap for the Super Duke is made of carbon. The result is impressive: 9kg less weight and significantly more performance and torque. Includes special mapping.
